Maintenance Of Registered Trade Marks

Once a trade mark is registered, it is protected for 10 years in the UK (this may differ in other jurisdictions). A trade mark registration can be renewed indefinitely by payment of a renewal fee every 10 years.  In some jurisdictions, evidence of use must be demonstrated upon renewal or during certain specified periods in order to maintain registration of a trade mark. Without such evidence of use, it may not be possible to renew. It is important to keep accurate records of your registered trade marks and the dates for renewal to avoid missing renewal deadlines.

Our in-house records department can manage the payment of your trade mark renewal fees.

We will provide reminders relating to the deadlines for annuity payments and can make payments of the renewal fees on receipt of your instructions.
