Foreign registered designs

There are corresponding Registered Design Application procedures in most countries and we can facilitate such filings using our network of Foreign Associates. If a number of applications are filed within 6 months of each other then they may all claim the filing date of the earliest filed application.

Within Europe, the Community Registered Design system provides an effective route for gaining protection in the members of the European Community by the filing of one application. Through membership of the European Community, which is a party to the Hague Agreement, UK applicants may also apply for International Registered Designs to cover a number of countries.

We are able to facilitate the filing, prosecution and maintenance of Registered Designs and Registered Design Applications in most countries in the world due to our network of Foreign Associates. Our technical staff can advise you of the filing requirements for any country of interest..
