There are corresponding Registered Design Application procedures in most countries and we can facilitate such filings using our network of Foreign Associates. If a number of applications are filed within 6 months of each other then they may all claim the filing date of the earliest filed application.
Within Europe, the Community Registered Design system provides an effective route for gaining protection in the members of the European Community by the filing of one application. Through membership of the European Community, which is a party to the Hague Agreement, UK applicants may also apply for International Registered Designs to cover a number of countries.
